A Madrone tree is a native plant.  The plant Madrone is a wide branch tree that grows bright red berries.  The Madrone can grow from 15-125 feet tall.  Leaves on Madrones are shiny and dark green. The leaves are pale green underneath. The Madrone tree is a evergreen tree.

The Madrone tree can grow in Rockville Hills Park  and the coast of the Pacific Ocean. You can also find them in wooded areas and in canyons.  

The Madrone tree has bright red berries that are edible and you can make recipes out of them. The madrone tree berries can be eaten right from the tree. The berries are really good with a meal.
